We are your “One Stop DT Shop”
The NAB Cup is here… so people are starting to go a little footy mad! Newspapers are running more and more articles on AFL, websites are being updated more and forums are running overtime! There is nothing different about Dream Team. Here are some things we’ve spotted this week that may help you in selecting your 2008 DT!
Firstly, the best innovation in preparation for this year’s DT has to be FanFooty’s FanPlanner. m0nty has worked hard in getting all of the prices and positions right (made easy by the AFL Record out this week) so you can use the new salary cap to pick your teams. While speaking of FanFooty… the blog is back with some info on the Dubai game, m0nty’s top 50 DTers and a magnificent history of Fantasy Footy for us AFL tragics. Keep an eye on the blog over the season.
BigFooty is arguably the biggest online AFL community going around, and the Dream Team / Super Coach / Footy Challenge thread generates plenty of posts every day. A thread that caught my eye – mainly because of the amount of research in it – was one BF’s best posters (happy_eagle) post with reasons for choosing the right player. Some good, some not so good advice on strategy. And for BF regulars… plenty of rubbish is dribbled (or is that ‘typed’) in the AFL Dream Team 2008 thread.
Other sites of note has been the return (and new look) of Dream Team Hero. These guys have their finger on the pulse and there has been plenty of posts of late… with more to come I’m hoping! Football Salvation has some pretty impressive info about players, prices and form. The Coaches Box did a pre-season podcast back in December with some handy info, but look out for another episode coming very soon! Ando runs the AFL Footy Blog and has been keeping us updated with plenty of fantastic blog entries.
There are plenty of great sites out there… and I think we’ve got a pretty good list there on the right hand side of our site! If you know of any more that are worth chucking in there, please email us: dttalk@hotmail.com or leave a comment. And don’t forget… dreamteamtalk.com is updated regularly and the next episode of our YouTube show will be out on the 20th of February!
