So here I am, sitting in seat C row 11 on my way from LA to Vancouver (not name dropping cities or anything). To my left I am sitting next to Mr. Miyagi’s grandmother who is constantly stretching her arthritic knees and to my right is a normal looking man who is supporting an over exaggerated extra large watch face. I’m scanning the plane for terrorist and people that I feel are a threat to me arriving safely. I see a man with one of those cloths wrapped around his head, but he is Indian I think and therefore harmless, unless on the cricket field………and then I shut my eyes and I find myself thinking about dreamteam and Chris Judd. To get Judd or not?? That is the big question for 2008?
A few days ago, sluggish DTer of 2007, Marc Murphy (who scored over 90 DTers 4 times), said something that I can’t get outta my head. He said in referring to Chris Judd… “The other day he was out doing rehab running and he ran a 10.30 [Princes] Park, which is the best at the club,”…..best at the club Marc….WHAT???
Ok Marc… I expect Judd to be able to run quicker than all the Cartlon dudes anyway… but fresh from surgery… currently in rehab… during the pre-season… posting the quickest time…are you serious??

The good thing about Juddy too.. if it works on averages from last year, he should drop a tad bit in value.. which therefore makes him well worth it!! I guess it depends on where he fits in the Blue Baggers mould… like will the Kruz-Dawg tap it to him all day? Will Juddernaught just cop all the tags?! Hmm..
To risky for the possible return! The Carlton man of the moment is Stevens (as we mentioned on the Coaches Box pre-Christmas show! He should be rather cheap and should enjoy being second off the ranks for taggers (perhaps third with Murphy around.
Plus its one thing to be taking leisurely stoles around Princess Park but a totally different thing to be out in the heat of an AFL game with a player hanging off you and having to run and kick as well. That (as well as Bec) will be be the real test on the Judd Groin and I don’t see him make the entire season out. Plus I think its is still in Carlton’s interest that Judd doesn’t do too well next year as they still need more quality draft picks.

So much respect and admiration for the panel members of DTTAlk, just jumped out the window. Never have I seen such disgusting display of marketing digestion as witnessed by Calvin this week. What’s is going on?… I thought you were panel members with some sort of insite each week, clearly you are being miss lead. Put yourself in the shoes of a team that has been boardering on bankrupsee for years, who has now bought a player worth 1M a year……the CEO and president need to portray an image that the club has spent well.. that means their media leaks are obviously paid to spread positive stories on the players that are costing the club the most money….. Marc Murphy. Think of Judd as a race hourse. Obviously if you were an investor/owner you would be keeping his current ability under raps….. Why bother promoting that judd has run the “best ever time at Princess Park” through a second level player, disguising it as a “credible source” if it was true.
